### Nathan's plan

I'd likely go for a dive or head to the eastern fringes of the Cascade Crest! In reality, I'm actually going to a music festival in British Columbia this weekend. All you lovely people will have to just do it for me!

### Hiking

This weekend will be fairly cloudy. However, no worries! This is limited to West of the Cascade Crest. If you were to draw a vertical line along Wenatchee and Yakima, once you get pretty close to here, skies begin to drastically clear up for the weekend. If you do go out and want to avoid the rain, head east or stay on the eastern most fringes of the cascade crest

Another thing to consider is Wildfire smoke. Based on the air quality index and rain, the best areas are going to be the easternmost edge of I-90 as you leave the Cascades and wilderness areas east of Rainier. Essentially the Southeastern portion of the Washington Cascades. Bring lots of water as weather is warm and insects are buzzing.

That imaginary rain line I'm referencing is where the light green shading ends.

### Diving

I have read and heard from friends, many places last weekend had great viz once they dove down a bit. As far as 40ft! I'll keep an eye on new reports to see if this continues to persist as we get closer to the weekend. With potentially less than ideal weather, great time to freedive or scuba dive as you aren't on land, so who cares what it's like above the water!

### Foraging

Lots of fishing is open currently! Although the window for retaining some Chinook aka King Salmon has passed there is still fun to be had! You can take a look below at what marine area is nearest to you and possession limits. Take a look below as the regulations especially for Salmon change from a day-to-day basis. Crabbing is open in many areas as well. Both salmon and Dungeness crab are highly sought after in the state. Take a look at the links below to get started! Looking to see if I can list some local rental services but at the moment don't see anything sadly.

### Lowkey

Good time to relax locally in the sound! The potential for rain is lower in metropolitan areas compared to the Cascade and Olympics. This ranges primarily from Tacoma up to Camano Island in the Puget Sound compared to many other areas. A great weekend to kickback for farmers markets and local events in your area. A casual bike ride. Walk on ferry rides. Snuggle up for some more classic PNW weather with a tinge of summer heat. Cheers!
