Foraging

It's the last month for many marine areas to go crabbing. Seattle and other areas have two more weekends left! Salmon is also going strong for many areas! If you're interested in that, check out some of the regulations and rules below. Don't forget your rain jacket this weekend since it's looking moist and cloudy on Saturday.

Lowkey

Having fewer recommendations than I normally would, it's a lovely time to mention local produce! I am a huge gardener and love seasonal cooking. Many produce vendors are stocked full of ingredients right now! With tomatoes and corn being plentiful, a fun Native American dish I enjoy making is called Succotash. This dish is truly a summer child and a good way to enjoy fresh produce on a rainy day.

Hiking

Looking moist Saturday with a potential for scattered thunderstorms for parts of the state. Sunday however is looking a lot lighter on the rain. Overall, it'll be a cloudy weekend but that's not always a bad thing with warms temps.

Saturday: The Olympic coast will have the most mild weather, albeit some light showers still.

Sunday: Lots of areas improve and it's actually looking like a nice day to go out. Much of the cascades will still have light showers during the first half of the day. Throughout the Cascades, Rainier will be the most pleasant. The Olympic coast would also be a great option for getting out.
